The 21-year-old Ghanaian striker who was the hero of the day at the Estadio Ciudad de Valencia as his hattrick ended Barcelona’s 36 games unbeaten run has gained a call-up into the senior national team.
Speaking in an exclusive interview via telephone from his base in Spain, Boateng revealed to Papa Maestro; host of Hot Sports Reloaded on Hot 93.9FM that, he is not just coming into the Black stars to score goals but would also assist other strikers like Jordan Ayew and Asamoah to score.
“What I will say is football is teamwork…there are seniors in the team like Jordan Ayew and Asamoah Gyan so I will help them and the entire team to score more goals and win”, Boateng told Papa Maestro
Emmanuel Boateng, a former Moreirense attacker who became the first Ghanaian player to score a hattrick against Barcelona, scored in the 9th, 30th and 49th minute as his side defeated Barcelona by five goals to four.
