Some students of the University of Ghana have defended Professor Gyampo after he was cited in a  sex scandal documentary released by BBC Africa Eye titled 'Sex for Grades'.

According to the students, the Nigerian lecturer's portion of the video was obvious he wanted a sexual relationship with the student but with Prof Gyampo's part of the video, they didn't see anything like sexual harassment or keeping the girl in an enclosed environment as compared to the Nigerian lecturer.
Prof Gyampo was also seen in a viral video today dubbing tears in his eyes in front of his level 300 class after the BBC Sex for grades investigation was released by the BBC Africa Eye.
Speaking to Starr FM, a student who sat in Prof's class earlier today, Miss Enam described Prof Gyampo as a disciplined lecturer
''When he entered the class the students were giving him fans. He then he removed his spectacles and started cleaning tears from his eyes, not running tears from his eyes but little tears from his eyes and he told us that he was just emotional about the support students are giving him. Some of the students said in the video, they didn't see anything about sexual harassment. They were talking about both videos from Ghana and Nigeria. Most of them said the Nigerian lecturers own was obvious he wanted something from the student''.
''What I saw in the video I don't think it was sexual harassment. He is a very disciplined man and you cannot even misbehave in his class so we always make sure we behave in his class. Most of the students believed Prof Gyampo's side of the story'',she added.
Another student indicated that : Prof Gyampo is a serious lecturer and dont think he will do that, not at all''.
''He has taught me for just a semester and with his kind of personality I doubt the what the BBC is saying because no one fools in Prof's class,he doesnt tolerate stupidity. And the Nigeria lecturer's part of the video has question marks not Prof's'',another student said.
