Following
the recent turn of events on the individual ideologies on the pandemic and social distancing,
it has been a more positive turn out in the Ghanaian community as much to having rekindling sense of feel of things falling back into normality.
Despite
government easing of corona virus (COVID-19) restrictions on social gatherings On
Sunday, May 31, some churches have on the other hand decided not to congregate for church
services until further notice.
Some may say we are a bit far from the fight but patrons in various cycles
especially the church may offer a different story to counter if to say. Some of
these patrons may well narrow down to the North Kaneshie Assemblies of God
church in Ghana – Accra who have given an alleged more hope than fear in these
times and their youth service on Sunday 17th August 2020 was not
less of such stories
They have
adequately provided washing points to make sure that each and every individual
washes hands, goes through temperature check and through data basing with the
medical team toppled with hand sanitizing. These measures are highly met with strict
social distance protocols notwithstanding usage of nose and face masks. ’They
are a really a great benchmark for other Assemblies of God churches to emulate
and Ghana at large ‘’ as where the kind words of the General Superintendent of
Assemblies of God – Rev.Paul Frimpong Manso to the Senior Pastor of the North
Kaneshie Assemblies of God church- Rev.Anthony John Doeh.
Their Sunday
youth service took off at exactly 11:20 am with praises and worship ,announcements,
sermon etc .Indeed if there was really a time the youth were more geared to be
in the house of the Lord they could not have seen a better atmosphere as said by
some of the congregants on the end of a sermon given by Ps.Joshua Frempong on
the said day during an interview.
‘’Ghana
isn’t the only African country that initially appeared to have COVID-19 under
control. Others, like South Africa, were also praised for taking early,
decisive action. But the recent surge in coronavirus cases in Ghana, and the
inability of the country’s health system to cope with it, were seeded by the
outlook, oversights and omissions in the easing of its lockdown with fear but
we thank God that it falls behind us each and every day’’. A bold remark made by
a portion of the youth medical team who were available after service for a
brief talk with the team AOB media team.
They surely
look to the next Sunday at the assembly and with one accord pray and hope in
the Lord Jesus Christ for the end of this pandemic.CHURCH INDEED IS WHERE TO BE...
