EXCEPTS OF THE SEMINAR WAS AS FOLLOWS:
As we go by each day, there's the need to
apply knowledge and wisdom in life's experiences. What does it mean to be intelligent? Intelligence is simply the ability to reason logically and understand not just you but also the people around you.
"Intelligence is more important than strength, that is why earth is ruled by men and not by animals".
In handling over the baton, intelligence is key. This includes the application of
1*IQ ( Intelligence Quotient) - has a higher intelligence. Takes into consideration a person's reasoning ability.
2*EQ (Emotional Quotient) - can relate well with people and get into how people really feel. Makes use of self-awareness, self-assessment and empathy as a main ingredient in getting to understand yourself and people even more.
3*LQ ( Love Quotient) - wins the respect of others. Emphasizes on being mostly trustworthy. Be trustworthy yourself, before the possibility of others trusting you is assured.
Life is about knowing where you walk, where you stand and where you sit and to be a good leader, make good things happen.
In the handling of the baton,
take your time, understand the process. Don't be hasty about decisions you take. Patience is Key. Patience, Loyalty, Teamwork, being diligent and hardworking are key in the process of learning to know what it really means to hand on the baton. Also have it in mind that handling over the baton is one of the Cardinal duties of a Christian.
Before accepting to take charge of the baton in the first place, a person of change. As being said by Alfred Noble, "when you do the same old thing the same way, you're likely to get the same results. If you don't like something change it".
The world in itself has evolved rapidly in recent times and as such you need to change, improve and invest in yourself wherever you find yourself. It has gone from
1* Paper certificate to personal development
2* Moving away from promotion based on years to performance. Count on the contributions you gone to the company.
3. Morning from hardwork to SMART results.
Generation is a timeframe in which beliefs, systems, interest and opinions change significantly.
2 Peters 1:5 and Provs24:3 explains to the essence of being knowledgeable and also having wisdom. Anytime you can comprehend, you understand and have knowledge. Wisdom is the application of knowledge. If you receive knowledge and don't understand it's as bad as not receiving it well.
Education, translated in latin, is in two sense
Thus, edu, which is the application of knowledge and cere which is the application of character.
It's our duty to imbibe what has been taught by our fathers. To be able to do this, we need to ;
1* Discover Our Potential
" What you can do, but has not yet been accomplished. You're your own kind. Know you're unique and marvelously created by God. God has deposited so much in you. Invest much more in yourself. Your potential comes in a seed form. If you look at yourself now, you might write yourself off.
God wants us to think- Philippians 4:13
Genesis 1:28
2*Planning Ahead
God has a plan for you but does not plan for you. Every plan needs a vision. A mission is a reason for existence and vision has to do with the mental image of a desired future.
Vision is for the mind, sight is for the eye
Sight is limited to what you see, vision ought to be. Sight lives by observation, vision is by faith. Habakuk 2:2,3 states out the characteristics of Vision that;
1. Vision defines your life
2. Controls your choices
3. Clarifies your purpose.
4. Vision attracts resources
3* Be Persistence
Where there's the will, there's the way.
If the heart is willing, 1000 works can be done.
These and many where the exciting but yet empowering talks and information sent across on the days of the seminar and all and sundry are keenly looking forward to the next showcase.
