In
rich Ghanaian history as we have come to know and stands, his excellency Nana Akufo-Addo
(NPP) and
former president John Dramani Mahama (NDC) are key names that hold recognition
across the country and the world at large.
The
unrest before during and after elections is needless as it generates fear which
may be positive or negative as far as the elections is concerned.
Sometimes
when you “make a statement and you need to struggle to explain further after to
make understanding certain then you didn’t picture your audience well before communicating
“as said by Ekourba Gyasi
Simpremu on Ghana Nie ( a
morning show on Atinka TV)
He
continued further that there were several debates over the whole “all die be die” years ago and now the
latest one been DO OR DIE comment by
John Mahama.
How
people see the truth makes the difference and thus speak for people to comprehend
and not to struggle in communicating (How
people will perceive /understand a piece of information is more important to
ensure clarity) were key discussion
points with his panel on the show.
Mahama
said in an earlier statement that “at
the polling station. "it will be do or die". Clarifying that he was
not referring to "all die be die", he restated that it will be
"do or die. The right thing must be done."
Samuel Nana Appiah Owusu (member of the NPP communications team)- feels that
if at any point in time that the party representative of the national
democratic party (NDC) and former
president of Ghana- John Mahama issues a statement, his team should analyse
and draw attention during and after any communiqué served out by him.”ïf
anytime you give out a piece of information and take time to always come back
to rectify or explain what you said then you didn’t communicate well” he added
Mr Stephen Atubiga (
founder of the National Liberation Congress) made an alleged statement that that “Mahatma’s statement its nothing to take serious but we should however
strategise on ensuring a smooth run at the polls in the year 2024 but
personally feels it’s just a political talk ”
Hon.
Mohammed Bawah Braimah – the MP for Ejura Sekyeredumase – NDC explains on the
show that the statement do or die is more or less like an idiomatic expression
not implying otherwise as people may say.
He
stressed they are not going to court on anything and that they only implied on Mahatma’s
statement that would only use all legitimate
means at the polls come 2024.
Ghanaians
in general are peaceful people and deserve the best of it at the highest degree.
There should not be any rise in fear or panic to mar this trait and thus
whatever any political or non-political individuals may have should not prevent
patrons from exercising their franchise come elections 2024.
