It was yet another great night as we witnessed another feet in the lives
of graduates, participants/patrons at the 14th annual graduation and
exhibition ceremony of Stemapet Institute at the National Theatre in Accra over the weekend on Sunday,
the 6th of February 2022.
Mr. Charles Garshong was one of the co-host MC’s of the night at
the exhibition ceremony of Stemapet cake and floral institute. In all, over 67 graduates passed out with diploma certificates after
pursuing foundation and proficiency courses in cookery and pastries, catering
and sugar craft, as well as floral designing (balloon decoration) ,cosmetology
,pastry making and fashion with non graduans of 32.
The graduates showcased their creative works
with a variety of designs in cakes, pastries, floral, African wear, wedding gowns
and jumpsuits, night wears etc prior to
the main event and during as well., this was combined with choreography, music
and dance plus singing from the students “the
institute was established in September 23rd 2007 from a garage with just a
single student was one such key highlights” shared by Miss Georgina Aguazi
in an interview on the night..
She said “the institute was accredited by the Ghana Education Service
and the National Vocational Training Institute (NVTI) in 2012, and offers
admissions to persons from diverse education background, including workers,
housewives, university graduates and school drop-outs, and even
graduates/matured students/professionals alike
who desire to learn hands-on trade in pastry, floral etc in our ever
changing world”.
It was highlighted that most , graduates of the institute gain full
employment within a year after their industrial attachments and urged them to
form partnerships to enhance their competitiveness in the industry was one
stressed point delivered in a speech by the Head of Academics Miss Regina
Appiah-Menkah on the night. She shared delight for the students and encouraged
others to follow in same regards or better.
One of key highlights which was keenly
applauded and met with delight of patrons was the Stemapet choir and their
melodious tunes offered at the event plus a runway display in children clothing
, dinner wear, wedding gown etc.
Mrs Juliet Amoakoah Minnah Kersi, the
proprietress of the institute equips the students with the best skills
necessary urged them to make the most of the skills acquired to be the best in
all or any of the fields specialised giving excellence
in their line of work.
Students who outshined in their respective
courses received awards and certificates, presented by miss Georgina Aguazi and
Regina , while teachers and staff of the institute were introduced and acknowledged
by Mr. Charles Garshong
.
The event concluded with a cake cutting as patrons were dazzled by the
descent of the cake which was the crowning moment and a closing prayer from Pastor Peter Adra.
