Jollof as we all know is a popular dish in West Africa, particularly and  in countries like Ghana 🇬🇭 Nigeria 🇳🇬, Senegal 🇸🇳 and Gambia 🇬🇲 amongst others it is a meal for all.

On the 26th of December 2023 , the long awaited Jollof Rave was held at the La Palm Royal Beach Hotel with lots of enthusiasts and lovers of the event and more at the venue showcase. Attendees were entertained by a band with some good music as they had their fun time some with families, others with friends and others alone plus had the thrill to partake in several competitions as well.











The only medium of sale was the Jollof Rave Currency (JRC) which had a stand where the cedis can be changed that is 5 cedis = 5 JRC, 20 cedis = 20 JRC and 50 cedis = 50 JRC. 


Three 3 individuals in each 4 set competed in the Jollof Rave cooking competition and the .  first 2 set being females and the last two males.  

Ghanaian renowned celebrities Madam Akuma Mama Zimbe and Actress Joycelyn Dumas graced the event.They also  presented the awards to the last set of male participantswho partook in the competition.

Vendors  present at the event  included: Lady Gail, Ewuraba foods, Bonne Graine (deals in mango chips, pineapple chips, coconut, sweet hot and assorted chips) , Kenkey smoothie, Ruby’s Yard local bar deals in all kinds of local drinks (Asana, sobolo etc.) Posky milky scoops, Kelewele vibes, Kebab guys, SheBar (deals in all kinds of local drinks), Palmie Fresh (premium Palm wine), Awos Treat North Ridge Cafe and Bistro, Jollof Check Check, Qwinjay Catering, Food Haven Catering services, Kiki’s Finger Foods & Juice Republic and so many more.
